A little bit about us!
Welcome to The Montessori Guide! We’re Theresa and Bridget, both stay-at-home moms, Montessori bloggers, and nerds about all things toddler. Calling home in Washington, we met and became dear friends through our blogs and quickly realized how much we had in common, both raising our children using the Montessori method and embracing respectful parenting philosophy. One of our favorite aspects of our friendship has been the opportunity to bounce parenting and learning ideas off each other, and through these discussions, The Montessori Guide was born, a resource for other parents to provide educational invitations for their young children at home. We know a parent’s to-do list is never complete, so let us help by finding, creating, and pulling together learning materials delivered right to your inbox for your baby and you to discover together.
Theresa is a full-time mama to a 3-year-old girl and 1-year-old boy. Prior to momming and blogging, she received her graduate degree in developmental psychology and then her AMS certification to become a Montessori infant/toddler teacher. Now that Theresa isn't teaching, she has poured all her Montessori passion into her home, and loves it. She and her family enjoy cooking, crafting, and anything active outdoors!
Bridget is a stay at home mama to Camden (12/14) and Marley (8/17.) Once upon a time, she received her PhD in organic chemistry. After Camden was born, she realized her true calling was being a mother. She fell in love with the Montessori Method and respectful parenting. Now she spends her days using Montessori at home with her two children. In her free time, she loves the mountains, running and sewing.
